Mark Hricko



Mark is a Lutheran pastor whose parish ministries have included congregations in Baltimore, Laurel, and Silver Spring, Maryland, where he currently serves as pastor of The Lutheran Church of St. Andrew. In addition to his parish ministries, he is a past Vice President of the Southeastern District (LCMS) and has held positions on numerous boards, committees and task forces throughout the church and in the communities in which he has served. He currently chairs the Wellspring Leadership Team as well as its conference of Senior Pastors.

George Mannina 

 

George served 15 years as a staff member for the U.S. Congress including as Chief Counsel and Staff Director for a Committee of the House of Representatives. Thereafter, George became a partner in a law firm and focused on natural resources law. He also served as the firm's managing partner. As a member of the Lutheran Church of St. Andrew, George has served as the Director of four programs Adult Education, Sunday School, Youth Ministry and, for over 20 years, Confirmation. George served 14 years on the Church Council and is now a member of the Wellspring Leadership Team.

Bruce Hartung


Bruce is husband to one, father to two, and grandfather to five. By vocation he is a Lutheran pastor and a licensed clinical psychologist, retired from both. He is Professor Emeritus, Practical Theology, at Concordia Seminary where he served for 11 years, teaching in the area of pastoral care and counseling and congregational/organizational dynamics. Prior to that he served as the LCMS Director of Ministerial Growth/Health and Healing Ministries and Executive Director of its Commission on Ministerial Growth and Support. And, prior to that, he was in the active practice of counseling for 22 years in Illinois and then in New York. He currently serves as the President of the Maryland Continuing Care Residents Association and Co-Editor of Caring Connections, a quarterly electronic journal serving chaplains, pastoral counselors and other non-parish-based religious workers.

Charlie Salvaggio



Charlie has served as a member of the Wellspring Leadership Team since 2010. He is a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Laurel MD where he has served in numerous leadership positions within the congregation to include Youth Group Director, Call Committee Chair, and Governance Board Chair. Charlie is a retired senior executive from the U.S. Department of Defense with a career spanning nearly 40 years and three overseas assignments in Germany, Japan, and Hawaii. Charlie brings his executive and organizational leadership skills and experience to Wellspring as he focuses on strategic planning, vision building, event planning, and communications.

Ruth Heilman


Ruth has spent close to four decades serving in Lutheran churches and schools in the Baltimore and Washington D.C. area, as teacher, administrator, and musician. She is currently on the staff of the Lutheran Church of St. Andrew as Minister of Music, playing organ and directing choir, handbell choir, and instrumental groups. Ruth has held positions on several boards and committees in several schools and congregations, working with staff and curriculum development, accreditation, recruitment, and worship planning. Her passion for music is further fed through participation in the three choruses of the Baltimore Choral Arts Society. As a member of the Wellspring Leadership Team, Ruth hopes to help church workers establish and maintain a healthy spiritual, personal, and work life balance, so that they may, “Serve the Lord with gladness!” (Ps. 100:2)
